New Family-To-Family Classes Starting in October 2013

Most families take their physical and emotional health for granted, but for one out of every five someone will be diagnosed with a serious mental illness.  Learn how you can better understand and support that person while maintaining your own well being.

“The Family to Family education course was the best thing we could have done for ourselves, our son, and our whole family.”

The course goals are:

To develop an understanding of the biological nature of the illness

To help family members develop coping skills for handling crisis and relapse

To help family members develop listening, communication and problem-solving skills in working with their ill family member

To provide tools and resources for self-care and well-being of the family

To promote educated advocacy for individuals living with a mental illness

To show that recovery is possible
